Immoral Compass

So my daughter and I are getting caught up on Star Trek Discovery before the final season begins and we’re currently watching season 3. So we’re a few episodes in and without giving too much away, it turns out that the Discovery crew needs to help the Federation get back on track. Saru is bound and determined to maintain Star Fleet protocols no matter what the situation. And of course we love him for that!

Anyway, while Saru’s methods seem to be working so far, he does get a little help from Mirror Universe Philippa Georgiou.

Although Saru, Michael Burnham, and the Discovery crew are inspirational in their commitment to the ways of Star Fleet, it doesn’t hurt that (evil) Philippa Georgiou lends a helping hand using her preferred methods from time to time. So, as we’re watching, I comment, “Hey, it seems that Philippa Georgiou is the “Immoral” Compass for the Discovery crew.”

I was super proud of myself since I had just coined a never before used term, but wait…I googled the term this morning (as you do), and it turns out there is a TV show by that name:

So maybe I’m the second person? That’s not bad right? After all, “second contact” is a recurring theme on Star Trek Lower Decks.

Second isn’t so bad right?
